QUALITY CONTROL / ASSURANCE

Amex prides itself with a standing reputation of excellence and quality workmanship.

Our Q.C. team has expertise in welding, quality assurance, quality control, inspection, heat treating, non-destructive examination and technical data.

This team supports every Amex project, starting at the bid stage and continuing throughout the project. The degree of support depends on the client needs. Our mission, however, is to identify and to prevent problems before they hinder your project.

The following are just a sample of the types of activities which are available and are used as needed on each project:
  • Technical assistance in quality project preparation.
  • Welding inspection by a certified welding inspector.
  • Weld mapping.
  • Testing documentation.
  • Qualification and implementation of welding procedures.
  • Provide a source of information relating to ASME documentation.
  • Performance and documentation of ASME and NBIC code work relating to:
    - Power & Boiler Code piping fabrication & installation
    - Coded pressure vessel fabrication
    - Boiler assembly
    - Coded vessel repairs and alterations
  • Supervision of subcontractor's quality control
Amex has more than 45, ASME Section IX, qualified welding procedures covering most all of the common and "not so common" materials. We also qualify new procedures on a regular basis to meet the needs of specific customers.

The benefit to our clients is quality that is "built-in". This philosophy is an integral part of Amex's "total job" concept, dedicated to provide you with quality and pride, a tradition with the Amex Construction Company, Inc.
